Large abstract expressionistic artwork on un-stretched high quality Antwerp linen.
From my ongoing Zen Study series. When painting my Zen Studies I keep in mind the seven characteristics of Zen Aesthetics written down in the book ‘Zen and the Fine Arts’ by Shin’ichi Hisamatsu.
This artwork is inspired by the knowledge that when nature is endangered on this planet so are we. We are part of nature and so we need to protect nature to protect ourselves.
Signed at the back. Varnished for protection. The canvas can be stretched on wood or aluminum (there is therefor an extra 5 cm canvas around the artwork), framed behind glass or just be hung as it is.
